University of the Arts Helsinki (Uniarts Helsinki) is now recruiting hourly-paid
for our Student Ambassador programme. For the next academic year, we intend to recruit approximately 5 new Ambassadors to join the Ambassador team, currently consisting of 10 ambassadors.
For the Sibelius Academy, we are looking for approximately 3 new ambassadors from any programme. Both international students and Finnish students are welcome to apply. In order to best supplement the academy’s current team of ambassadors, Swedish speaking skills are considered an advantage, but not necessary.
For the Theatre Academy, we are looking for approximately 2 new ambassadors from any programme. Both international students and Finnish students are welcome to apply.
The working period for new ambassadors is 1.8.2026–31.5.2027. Ambassadors who do not graduate in the summer 2027 will have the chance to renew their contract for the next academic year.

The tasks of the Ambassadors vary according to the represented academy and the interests and capabilities of the Ambassador. Tasks are assigned to the ambassadors by the programme manager and the academies’ contact persons.

In addition, the formation of a diverse group of ambassadors is considered – regarding language, cultural background, gender, age, study programme, stage of studies, etc.
The amount of work per student varies depending on their own interests and activeness.

Video assignment
As a Student Ambassador, you will complete one personal ambassador project each semester. The purpose of the project is to create something that would be helpful, necessary, inspiring, or exciting for a prospective applicant or a newly admitted Uniarts student to see or hear.
Your project can take many forms, for example:
At the beginning of the semester, you will plan your project in detail (content, schedule, format, estimated hours, etc.) and get it approved by your manager. Projects may be completed individually or as a group with other ambassadors from any academy. The expected workload is 10–40 hours per ambassador.
